On 6th and 7th May at the Esplanade Recital Studio, Kris Foundation presented the rst series of Viva Viola!, a two-part series featuring the beauty and sonority of the viola.
Our founder, Kris Tan, was delighted to open Kris Foundation’s 2016 concert season showcasing the underrated instrument as well as gems in the viola repertoire. Each work presented is of great importance to the viola repertoire, including transcriptions of Bartok’s 44 Duos for 2 Violins, Sz. 98 and J.S. Bach’s Cello Suite No. 2 in D Minor, BWV 1008.
Following his brilliant solo recital with Kris Foundation in 2015, acclaimed pianist Lim Yan once again joined us with fellow violists Daniel Ong and Jeremy Chiew.
