On 11th April 2014 at the Esplanade Recital Studio, Kris Foundation presented Quand Je Dors, featuring Korean soprano Jeong Ae Ree, Japanese pianist Miyuki Washimiya and Japanese clarinettist Aya Sugimoto. This was the rst voice recital presented by Kris Foundation and collaboration with Japanese musicians Aya Sugimoto and Miyuki Washimiya. Our founder Kris Tan has been a good friend Jeong Ae Ree for many years. We enjoyed a specially curated programme of songs at this evening performance.
Jeong Ae Ree is the artistic director of New Opera Singapore, a company she founded in 2011 to create a platform for local singers to showcase their talents in professional productions, and also to make opera accessible to the community. To date, New Opera Singapore has produced highly successful productions of L’elisir d’amore, Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas and Die Fledermaus, Britten’s The Turn of the Screw as well as the Opera Comique series.
